Random Acts of Christmas Kindness
December 8, 2022
If you want to create positive surroundings then learn how to throw kindness like confetti!
Healthcare has definitely had its share of ups and downs these past few years. The Covid pandemic has caused stress in the workplace and at home for many, but it's important to remember that little acts of kindness can make a difference. At times, we look around and it seems that we may have forgotten. We become so busy and caught up in the day-to-day race, we forget what really counts. Kindness should be shared every day, but Maria Joseph Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has decided to focus on capturing it through the holidays!
Foundations Health Solutions supports a Culture of Care that encourages kindness as the "norm". To make that a reality, we work to create an environment where employees feel respected, cared for and included. We strive to empower each member to feel they are valued and have a sense of purpose. It's our goal to infuse our philosophy with kindness, therefore, creating a place that is all about our most valuable assets, our residents and staff.
Maria Joseph Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is spreading
Random Acts of Christmas Kindness from December 5th through December 18th. When any employee performs a
Random Act of Christmas Kindness for a co-worker or resident, captures a picture of it then forwards it to their Administration, they then earn a ticket for a drawing for a 50" TV to be given away on December 21st at 3pm. They can complete as many acts of kindness as they want to increase their chances to win. When an act is posted on Facebook and the giver recognizes it with a "Like", they can reach out to their Administration for an additional ticket to win, along with a stocking full of goodies!
On the week of December 12th, the elves will appear with a "You've Been Elf'ed" challenge for more even fun! Candy Cane Blasts have been occurring by our Central Intake Department, Liaisons, Admission Team and a random reindeer in the facility parking lot! (Be sure to check out our latest Facebook posts!)
Although we're excited about all the fun challenges and to stir up the Christmas spirit, we never fail to forget that we are always working to build better tools to enhance a kinder work environment through intentional actions.
We celebrate our residents and staff members, not just at Christmas time, but every day throughout the year!
Follow along as we share our
Random Acts of Christmas Kindness on our Facebook page throughout the holiday!
